AN ORDINANCE relating to the 2025 levy of property taxes in King County for collection in the year
2026.
April Sanders, Council staff, briefed the committee and answered questions from the
members.
A motion was made by Councilmember Barón that this Ordinance be Passed
Out of Committee Without a Recommendation. The motion carried by the
following vote:

84.55.120.

members.
A motion was made by Councilmember Barón that this Ordinance be Passed

AN ORDINANCE that adopts the 2026-2027 Biennial Budget and makes appropriations for the operation
of county agencies and departments and capital improvements for the fiscal biennium beginning January
1, 2026, and ending December 31, 2027; and establishing an effective date.

members. Dwight Dively, Director, Office of Performance, Strategy and Budget, also
addressed the committee.
Councilmember Barón moved Striking Amendment S1. The Amendment was adopted.
This matter was expedited to the November 18, 2025 council agenda.
A motion was made by Councilmember Barón that this Ordinance be
Recommended Do Pass Substitute. The motion carried by the following vote:
