Call to Order
The Law, Justice and Human Services Committee Meeting was called to order at 9:43 a.m. in the
Metropolitan King County Council Chambers, 10th Floor, by Chair Larry Gossett.

A MOTION confirming the executive's appointment of Holly Barker, who was nominated by
King County Councilmember Cynthia Sullivan, and who resides in council district two, to
the King County women's advisory board.
Gennevie Cook, Council Staff, briefed the Committee.

Holly Barker, Appointee, Doug Stevenson, Council Staff, and Carole Antoncich, Liaison, King County
Women's Advisory Board, answered questions from the Committee.
 
A motion was made by Ms. Edmonds that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Consent. The
motion carried by the following vote:

Committee.

A motion was made by Councilmember Edmonds to adopt the title amendment. The motion passed 3-0
with Councilmembers Constantine, Lambert, Pullen and McKenna excused.

Sandra Ciske, Manager/Program Analyst, Public Health - Seattle and King County, briefed and
answered questions from the Committee. Ms. Ciske also made an overhead presentation regarding the
Communities Count - Biennial Report on the strength of King County's Communities.

AN ORDINANCE implementing the district court redistricting committee's amendment to
the districting plan for the elimination of two court locations in 2003; amending Ordinance
8935, Section 4, as amended, and K.C.C. 2.68.070.

The Honorable Wesley Saint Clair, Presiding Judge, King County District Court, answered questions
from the Committee.
 
A motion was made by Ms. Edmonds that this matter be Recommended Do Pass. The motion
