Call to Order
The meeting of the Transportation Committee was called to order at 1:03 P.M. by the Chair Pelz.

Approval of Minutes

The minutes of August 28, 2002 meeting were approved as written.
Discussion and Possible Action

Proposed Motion No. 2002-0402 Ms. Lambert
A MOTION authorizing the county executive to enter into an interlocal agreement to
construct improvements to the intersection of State Route 202 and NE 124th Street with the
city of Redmond.
Doug Hodson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Motion 2002-0402. Rey Sugui,
King County Road Services Division was present to brief and answer questions from the Committee.
This matter passed out of committee subject to signatures.
A motion was made by Mr. McKenna that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Consent. The
motion carried by the following vote:

Proposed Ordinance No. 2002-0440 Mr. Pelz and Mr. Irons
AN ORDINANCE relating to road fees; setting the mitigation payment system program
project list and providing for an updated road mitigation payment system (MPS) fee
schedule; amending Ordinance 11617, Section 43 and Attachment B, as amended, and
K.C.C. 14.75.040 and Ordinance 11617, Section 49, as amended, and K.C.C. 14.75.100 and
repealing Ordinance 13696, Attachment B.
Doug Hodson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Ordinance 2002-0440. Harold
Taniguchi, Director, Department of Transportation and Richard Warren, Roads Division, KCDOT
were present to brief and answer questions from the Committee. The following person was present to
offer public testimony.

Taniguchi, Director, Department of Transportation was present to brief and answer questions from
the Committee.
A motion was made by Mr. McKenna that this matter be Passed Out of Committee Without a
Recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote:
