Brendan McCluskey, Director, King County Emergency Management, briefed the  
Committee via PowerPoint presentation and answered questions from the members.

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the county executive to renew an interlocal agreement between King  
County and the cities of Burien, Des Moines, Normandy Park, and SeaTac for stormwater education in  
the Highline Public School District.

Erica Newman, Council staff, briefed the Committee on the legislation and answered  
questions from the members. Mary Rabourn, Program Manager, Water Land and  
Resources, Mike Graves, Sr. Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Prosecuting Attorney’s  
Office and Angela Gallardo, Stormwater Manager, Water Land and Resources were  
present to answer questions from the members.  
This item was expedited to the May 27, 2025 Council Agenda.  
A motion was made by Chair Dembowski that this Ordinance be  
Recommended Do Pass Consent. The motion carried by the following vote:

"economically distressed areas" that reflects a revised methodology which enhances regional uniformity
