Call to Order
The meeting of the Transportation Committee was called to order at 1:40 P.M. by Chair Pelz.

The minutes of August 25, 2004 meeting were adopted as written.

Proposed Ordinance No. 2004-0370 Ms. Edmonds
AN ORDINANCE authorizing the sale of one parcel of surplus county-owned real property
located in King County council district 1.
Doug Hodson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Ordinance 2004-0370. Ron
Posthuma, Assistant Director, Department of Transportation (DOT), Bob Thompson, Marcia
Schwendiman, Councilmember, Steve Anderson, Manager, Bob Sokol, Planner, City of Kenmore and
Cal Hoggard, King County Real Estate Services were present to brief and answer questions from the
members.
A motion was made by Mr. McKenna that this matter be Passed Out of Committee Without a
Recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote:

Yes: 6 - Mr. Pelz, Mr. McKenna, Mr. Irons, Ms. Patterson, Mr. Ferguson and Ms. Hague
No: 0
Excused: 1 - Mr. Gossett

North Lake Union Master Plan and Metro Transit Recommendations
Paul Carlson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on King County Metro Transit recommendations
fro the county's North Lake Union properties. Dave Crippen, King County Metro Transit Division
and Cal Hoggard, King County Real Estate Services were present to brief and answer questions from
the members. The following person was present to offer public comment to the Committee:

Proposed Ordinance No. 2004-0369 Mr. Constantine and Mr. von Reichbauer
AN ORDINANCE relating to electrical personal assistive mobility devices and motorized
foot scooters; regulating the use and operation of such vehicles; adding a new chapter to
K.C.C. Title 46 and prescribing penalties.
Doug Hodson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Ordinance 2004-0369. Patty
Shelledy, Legal Advisor, King County Sheriff's Office and Dennis McMahon, Deputy Prosecuting
Attorney, King County were present to answer questions from the members.
