The meeting was called to order at 3:09 p.m.

Drago, Mr. Putter, Mr. Rasmussen, Ms. Ives and Mr. Wise
Excused: Mr. Springer, Mr. Lewis and Ms. Keolker-Wheeler
 
Approval of Minutes
1.
The minutes of the December 1, 2004 meeting of the Regional Policy Committee were approved as
presented.
Discussion and Possible Action
 
Proposed Ordinance No. 2004-0549 Mr. Ferguson
AN ORDINANCE establishing the 2005 work program for the regional policy committee
of the King County council.
Beth Mountsier, Committee Staff, briefed the committee and answered questions from the members.
Mayor Ives and Councilmember Putter moved amendments to the work program adding "and
approval" to "On-going Monitoring of Issues in 2005" and amending D. under "Other Issues for
2005" to read "Countywide parks, open space, and recreation". The amendments were passed
unanimously.
This matter was Amended.
A motion was made by Mr. Rasmussen that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Substitute.
The motion carried by the following vote:

Yes: 8 - Mr. Ferguson, Mr. Irons, Ms. Patterson, Ms. Drago, Mr. Putter, Mr. Rasmussen, Ms. Ives
and Mr. Wise
No: 0
Excused: 6 - Ms. Edmonds, Ms. Hague, Ms. Lambert, Mr. Springer, Mr. Lewis and Ms.
Keolker-Wheeler

King County Emergency Medical Services
Beth Mountsier, Committee Staff, introduced the briefing. Thomas Hearne, Manager, Emergency
Medical Services, Department of Public Health, briefed the committee and answered questions from
the members on King County Emergency Medical Services and the EMS levy during a Powerpoint
presentation.
This matter was Presented.

King County State and Federal Legislative Agendas for 2005
Chuck Williams, Director of Governmental Relations, King County Council, and Tom Bristow,
Governmental Associate, King County Council, briefed the committee and answered questions from
the members on the King County State and Federal Legislative agendas.
This matter was Presented.

There was no further business to come before the committee.
