A MOTION confirming the executive's appointment of Ranil Herath, who resides in council district nine,  
to the King County Library System board of trustees.  
A motion was made by Vice Chair Fain that this motion be recommended do  
pass consent. The motion carried by the following vote:

Gene Paul, Council staff, briefed the committee. Ranil Herath, Appointee to King  
County Library System Board of Trustees; and Heidi Daniel, Executive Director, King  
County Library System (KCLS), answered questions from the members.

A MOTION confirming the executive's appointment of Liz Callahan, who resides in council district five,  
to the King County Library System board of trustees.

This matter was presented.  
Kymber Waltmunson, King County Auditor, and Megan Ko, Senior Principal Auditor,  
King County Auditor's Office, briefed the committee via PowerPoint presentation and  
answered questions from the members. Susan McLaughlin, Director, Department of  
Community and Human Services, also answered questions from the members.
