Call to Order
The meeting of the Natural Resources, Parks and Open Space Committee was called to order at 1:36
P.M. by the Chair Edmonds.

Proposed Motion No. 2002-0326 Mr. Phillips
A MOTION approving funding of $11,000 for two projects from the cultural facilities
emergency and unforeseen opportunity program in accordance with Motion 10189.
See item #6.
A motion was made by Mr. Irons that this matter be Recommended Do Pass. The motion
carried by the following vote:

A MOTION approving one hundred thirty-seven projects for the King County special
projects program in accordance with Ordinance 14433.

Monica Clarke, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Motions 2002-0326; 2002-0395;

2002-0397 and 2002-0398 with a power point presentation. Fildema McGinn, 911 Media Arts
Center; Andrew Phillips, Documentation adn Conservation of the Modern Movement; Wester
Washington and Virginia Woo; Steve Anderson, Museum Supervisor, Renton Historical Museum;
Shelley Brittingham, KC Parks; Lauren McCroskey, Historical Preservation, Auburn and Sarah
Berries, Special Project Coordinator, City of North Bend were present to brief and answer questions
from the Committee.

Monica Clarke, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Ordinance 2002-0365 with a
power point presentation. Jim Kelley, Manager, Office of Cultural Resources; Ian Taylor, Senior
Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, PAO's, Civil Division were present to brief and answer questions from
the Committee. There was a Striking amendment and a Title amendment adopted 2-0-3 with
Councilmembers Phillips, von Reichbauer and Constantine excused.
A motion was made by Mr. Irons that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Substitute. The
motion carried by the following vote:
