Call to Order
The Metropolitan King County Council Committee-of-the-Whole meeting was called to order at 9:44
a.m. by Madam Chair Sullivan.
 
Roll Call
Present: Ms. Sullivan, Ms. Edmonds, Ms. Lambert, Mr. Phillips, Mr. McKenna, Mr. Constantine, Mr.
Gossett, Mr. Irons and Ms. Patterson
Excused: Mr. von Reichbauer, Mr. Pelz, Mr. Pullen and Ms. Hague
 
Additions to the Council agenda of May 13, 2002
1.
Proposed Motion 2002-0215 was placed on the Metropolitan King County Council agenda for
introduction and referral to Labor, Operations and Technology Committee.
 
Approval of Minutes of May 6, 2002
2.
Councilmember Phillips moved to approve the meeting minutes of May 6, 2002 as presented. The
motion passed.

Discussion and Possible Action

Proposed Motion No. 2002-0134 Ms. Hague, Ms. Edmonds and Ms.
Lambert
A MOTION authorizing the county executive to enter into agreements with the King
County district court to operate work crews to maintain closed parks and recreational
facilities.
Scott White, Council Staff, briefed and answered questions from the Committee.

Kurt Triplett, Interim Council Relations Director, Office of the King County Executive, answered
questions from the Committee.

A motion was made by Councilmember to adopt amendment #1. The motion passed 8-0 with
Councilmembers Pelz, von Reichbauer, Hague, Pullen and Lambert excused.

A motion was made by Councilmember Phillips to adopt a title amendment. The motion passed 8-0
with Councilmembers Pelz, von Reichbauer, Hague, Pullen and Lambert excused.
A motion was made by Ms. Edmonds that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Substitute.
The motion carried by the following vote:

Yes: 9 - Ms. Sullivan, Ms. Edmonds, Ms. Lambert, Mr. Phillips, Mr. McKenna, Mr. Constantine, Mr.
Gossett, Mr. Irons and Ms. Patterson
No: 0
Excused: 4 - Mr. von Reichbauer, Mr. Pelz, Mr. Pullen and Ms. Hague

Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Committee, the meeting adjourned at 10:10 a.m.
