Mr. Phillips reported on the Growth Management Planning Council. At the last meeting the Council
addressed some of the issues related to criteria for designating new urban centers, and a proposed
designation of downtown
Auburn as an urban center. Mr. Phillips indicated the Council also
considered a proposal to amend some of the countywide planning policies.

Mr. McKenna briefed the Council on the I-405 Executive Committee. He indicated the Committee
put together recommendations to the Regional Transportation Investment District for improvements
on I-405. The Committee will meet again in November.

Ms. Patterson informed the Council of the successful turnout of the dedication and celebration of the
first
South King County regional off-leash dog park.
