A MOTION identifying the solid waste division as the agency selected for a biennial budget in the 2009-2010 biennium.
Body
WHEREAS, RCW 36.40.250 authorizes the legislative body of any county to adopt an ordinance providing for biennial budgeting with a midbiennium review, and
WHEREAS, the voters of King County adopted Proposition 1 in November 2003, which authorizes biennial budgeting, and
WHEREAS, the metropolitan King County council adopted Ordinance 15545 on July 10, 2006, and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 15545 allows the council to provide the executive with the fund or funds selected for biennial budgeting, and
WHEREAS, this notification must occur at least two hundred forty-five days before the end of the year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
The council hereby notifies the executive, pursuant to Ordinance 15545, that the following funds will be adopted as biennial budgets for the 2009-2010 biennium:
A. Solid waste post-closure landfill maintenance fund;
B. Solid waste fund;
C. Solid waste capital equipment replacement fund;
D. Solid waste construction fund; and
E. Landfill reserve fund.
