Title
A MOTION authorizing the metropolitan King County council to accept a donation by the Seattle Center Fund of reception space for an event honoring King County board and commission members at Marion Oliver McCaw Hall.
Body
WHEREAS, Marion Oliver McCaw Hall is a state of the art performance hall that is home to the Pacific Northwest Ballet, the Seattle Opera, various community festivals and guest performers from around the world, and
WHEREAS, the metropolitan King County council wishes to host a gathering and reception to honor King County board and commission members, which will provide an opportunity for interaction between King County elected officials, board and commission members and staff, and
WHEREAS, the generous donation by the Seattle Center Fund to King County of reception space will allow the county to honor its board and commission members, who contribute their energy, their expertise and thousands of hours of their time at little or no public expense;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
King County hereby accepts the donation by the Seattle Center Fund of reception space for an event honoring King County board and commission members. The estimated value of this donation is approximately two thousand nine hundred fifty dollars.
