AN ORDINANCE authorizing the county executive to enter into a contract between King County and the King County Housing Authority relating to law enforcement community policing services.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  The King County Housing Authority desires to provide supplemental community policing and law enforcement services for residents of the Park Lake Homes and other King County Housing Authority owned and/or managed properties in its southwest area jurisdiction.
2.  The county has the resources to provide those community policing and law enforcement services.
3.  Participation in this agreement is to the mutual benefit of the citizens of King County.
      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY
      SECTION 1.  The county executive is authorized to execute an agreement, substantially in the form attached to this ordinance, with the King County Housing Authority to provide law enforcement and community policing services.
