A RESOLUTION relating to the organization of the King County Flood Control Zone District, amending FCD2019-16 and authorizing amended position descriptions and setting salary for the King County Flood Control District's Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director.
Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution FCD2019-16, the King County Flood Control Zone District Board of Supervisors ("Board") authorized position descriptions for the Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director, and authorized the engagement of these two positions as direct employees of the District; and
WHEREAS, at the time of their hiring, both positions were filled by members of the King County Flood Control Zone District's administrative unit at salaries set by the by the Metropolitan King County Council, but paid out of the District's budget; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution FCD2019-17, the Board authorized the Board's Chair to take action to implement Resolution FCD2019-16, including the establishment of compensation and benefits for these positions by the District; and
WHEREAS, the District desires to set the salaries for these two positions in order to offset a loss of benefits uniquely afforded to employees of the Metropolitan King County Council; and
WHEREAS, the King County Flood Control Zone District Executive Committee has reviewed the salary step and range;
NOW, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF THE KING COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT:
SECTION 1. Attachment A to Resolution FCD2019-16 is hereby amended to add the following: "King County Salary Grade: 133, Step: 13."
SECTION 2. Attachment B to Resolution FCD2019-16 is hereby amended to add the following language: "King County Salary Grade: 130, Step: 10"
SECTION 3. The Chair of the King County Flood Control Zone District is authorized to enter into agreement between the District and Michelle Clark, in a form acceptable to the District's legal counsel. That agree...
