AN ORDINANCE authorizing the special use permit for 50802 SE Grouse Ridge Road, North Bend, file no. LUT418-0002; Petitioner: Washington State Patrol Fire Training Academy.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1. The Washington State Patrol seeks a special use permit ("SUP") to upgrade and redevelop its existing North Bend fire and safety training academy campus, 50802 SE Grouse Ridge Road, North Bend, under a proposed six-phase master plan.
2. The department of local services-permitting reviewed the application and recommends approval, with conditions.
3. Due notice of a June 26, 2020, public hearing was given in the manner provided by law. The office of the hearing examiner held the hearing on behalf of the council.
4. On July 17, 2020, the examiner issued a report finding that the applicant had met the relevant criteria for SUP issuance, concluding that an SUP is appropriate, and recommending council approval.
5. For the reasons stated in the examiner's July 17, 2020, report and recommendation, the council approves the proposed phased master development plan, set forth in SUP LUT418-0002, subject to the conditions listed in the examiner's report.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. The council, on the effective date of this ordinance, hereby approves the Washington state patrol's six-phase master development plan to redevelop the existing North Bend Fire and Safety Training Academy campus, 50802 SE Grouse
Ridge Road, North Bend, as set forth in LUT418-0002, subject to the conditions listed in the examiner's July 17, 2020, report.
