Title

AN ORDINANCE relating to fees charged by the medical examiner's office; amending Ordinance 11137, Section 1, as amended, and K.C.C. 4A.650.100; and amending Ordinance 17733, Section 16, as amended, and K.C.C. 4A.650.150.

Body

                     BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:

                     SECTION 1.  Ordinance 11137, Section 1, as amended, and K.C.C. 4A.650.100 are each hereby amended to read as follows:

                     A.  Any person, agent or company who requests and receives a copy of an autopsy report in accordance with RCW 68.50.105 shall be charged a fee of fifty dollars.

                     B.  Any person, agent or company who requests and receives a copy of a determination shall be charged a fee of twenty dollars.

                     ((C.  Revenues generated by the cremation permit shall be expended to support the King County medical examiner's office.))

                     SECTION 2.  Ordinance 17733, Section 16, as amended, and K.C.C. 4A.650.150 are each hereby amended to read as follows:

                     A person reporting a death to the medical examiner’s office of a person whose remains are to be buried, cremated or otherwise disposed of under K.C.C ((2.35A.090,))

2.35A.100 shall be charged a fee of ((sixty)) seventy dollars.

                     SECTION 3.  This ordinance takes effect January 1, 2017.
