Title

AN ORDINANCE relating to the sale of the tax title property located at 105XX SE 232nd Place, Kent, Washington, in council district five.

Body

STATEMENT OF FACTS:

1.  The facilities management division declared the tax title property located at 105XX SE 232nd Place, Kent, Washington, located within council district five, surplus to its needs on March 30, 2016.

2.  The facilities management division offered the property to other county agencies on April 15, 2016 and received no interest.

3.  The facilities management division found the property unsuitable for affordable housing on April 29, 2016.

4.  The facilities management division declared the property surplus to the current and future foreseeable needs of the county on May 23, 2016.

5.  The property was marketed through the required public notice in the Seattle Times in accordance with RCW 36.35.120 and via direct notification of the four adjoining property owners.

7.  The county received two bids and accepted a purchase price of $10,202 on June 4, 2016.

                     BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:

                     SECTION 1.  The executive is authorized to convey the 105XX SE 232nd Place tax title parcel to Parminder S. Cheema, Navjot Kaur Cheema and Sukhninder S. Mann, consistent with a purchase and sale agreement substantially in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance and to take all actions necessary to implement the terms of the purchase and sale agreement.
