Title

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the execution of an interagency agreement between King County and the Washington state Department of Corrections for jail services.

Body

                     BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:

                     SECTION 1.  A.  King County and the Washington state Department of Corrections have participated in interagency agreements for many years.  The current interagency agreement expired on December 31, 2015.

                     B.  King County and the Washington state Department of Corrections have now negotiated a new interagency agreement for jail service for 2016 through 2018.

                     SECTION 2.  The executive is hereby authorized to execute an interagency

agreement for jail services with the Washington state Department of Corrections, in substantially the form of Attachment A to this ordinance.
