AN ORDINANCE relating to the conveyance of the surplus tax title property Madrona Tax Title, located at 14XX 31st Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122, within council district two.

Body

STATEMENT OF FACTS:

1.  The facilities management division declared the tax title property located at 14XX 31st Avenue , Seattle, WA 98122, located within council district two, surplus to its needs on June 16, 2015.

2.  The facilities management division offered the property to other county agencies on June 16, 2015, and received no interest.

3.  The facilities management division declared the property surplus to the current and future foreseeable needs of the county on August 6, 2015.

4.  The facilities management division found the property unsuitable for affordable housing development on June 23, 2015.

5.  The property was marketed through the required public notice in the Seattle Times in accordance with RCW 36.35.120 and via direct notification of the two adjoining property owners.

6.  The county received two bids and accepted a purchase price of $32,500 on August 17, 2015.

                     BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:

                     SECTION 1.  The executive is authorized to convey the Madrona tax title parcel to Doralee Moynihan and Carolyn Gronlund consistent with a purchase and sale agreement substantially in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance and to take all actions necessary to implement the terms of the purchase and sale agreement.
