Title
A MOTION reappointing John Strait to the King County public defense advisory board, representing the Washington Defender Association.
Body
WHEREAS, John Strait was appointed by the county executive to an initial one-year term on the King County public defense advisory board, representing the Washington Defender Association, and his appointment was confirmed by the county council on July 14, 2014, by Motion 14177, and
WHEREAS, K.C.C. 2.60.031.E. provides in part that the county council may reappoint board members for additional three-year terms, and
WHEREAS, the Washington Defender Association has expressed its support for John Strait to continue to represent the association on the public defense advisory board and for the county council to reappoint him to a full three-year term, and John Strait has expressed his willingness to serve an additional, three-year term on the board;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
John Strait is hereby reappointed to the King County public defense advisory
board, representing the Washington Defender Association, to a three-year term to expire on June 30, 2018.
