A MOTION relating to public transportation; approving the preliminary report identifying the specific components to be included in the Strategic Technology Roadmap for Transit, as required by the 2015/2016 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 17941, Section 129, Proviso P4.

WHEREAS, in November 2014, Ordinance 17941 adopted the 2015/2016 King County Biennial Budget, and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 17941, Section 129, Proviso P4, requires the executive to transmit the Strategic Technology Roadmap for Transit ("the roadmap") and a motion that approves the roadmap and the motion is passed by the council before expending or encumbering $25,000 in funds on capital project 1124887 authorized by Ordinance 17941, and
WHEREAS, the proviso further specifies that before transmitting the roadmap, the executive must file a preliminary report identifying the specific components to be included in the roadmap, its draft outline and a motion approving the preliminary report, and
WHEREAS, the transit division has prepared the required report and the executive has transmitted the report as set forth as Attachment A to this motion to the council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
The King County council hereby approves the preliminary report identifying the specific components to be included in, as well as the draft outline of, the Strategic Technology Roadmap for Transit, Attachment A to this motion.
