A MOTION adopting the performance measure report for the King County Strategic Plan

WHEREAS, the King County Strategic Plan, 2010-2014: Working Together for One King County was adopted in 2010, and
Whereas, implementation of the King County Strategic Plan is fundamentally changing the way we are doing business at the county by focusing on service excellence, financial stewardship, public engagement and a quality workforce, and
Whereas, the council has a long history of valuing performance measures to improve county services and public accountability, and
Whereas, it is essential to enhance public trust in county processes and programs to communicate to our constituents and our customers what we as county government provide, and
Whereas, measuring both what services we deliver and how we deliver our services are both critical to the King County Strategic Plan structure and our ability to improve over time;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
The council hereby adopts the King County performance measurement plan,
which is Attachment A to this motion, and which meets the requirements of Ordinance 16897, Section 4.
