Title
AN ORDINANCE authorizing the King County executive to enter into identical interlocal agreements with the city of Kent Fire Department and Eastside Fire and Rescue to implement a program delegating administrative duties to perform annual fire inspections of regulated occupancies in fire protection districts 10, 38 and 37, respectively.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  King County maintains all local governmental authority and jurisdiction to adopt, interpret and amend the International Fire Code, and the county has exercised such authority by adopting the King County Fire Code standards within its unincorporated areas.
2.  The city of Kent Fire Department and Eastside Fire and Rescue  possess authority to perform building and property inspections for fire prevention purposes pursuant to RCW 52.12.031(6), 52.26.090(2) and 19.27.050.
3.  King County is authorized to enter into agreements to delegate administrative duties to perform annual fire inspections of regulated occupancies by K.C.C. 17.04.230.3, RCW 19.27.110 and the Interlocal Cooperation Act, Chapter 39.34 RCW.
      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  The King County executive is hereby authorized to enter into identical interlocal agreements with the city of Kent Fire Department Regional Fire Authority, and with Eastside Fire and Rescue, containing language substantially similar to that attached, to implement a program delegating
administrative duties to perform annual fire inspections of regulated occupancies in fire protection districts 10, 38 and 37, respectively.
